Drive-Thru Accessibility

A Digital Transformation Project with an emphasis on Design Automation

A digital transformation project that analyzed and envisioned what a more accessible drive-thru system could be. Our team focused on the deaf and hard of hearing customer, while prioritizing the seamless integration of improved technology into existing solutions. This resulted in both achieving the goal of a more inclusive product and providing an efficient and effective solution.

My Role Included

Operational & Design Life-Cycle Strategy

Through team conversation and set vision, I developed the Operational & Design Life-cycle, which was then iterated on further as we developed the product.

I designed the visuals to communicate our strategy to stakeholders in a memorable way.

There is power in a story. This is exactly why we wanted to bring the impact of our product home to our audience through a case study.

I developed and wrote this for our final presentation, bringing together our research, our real customer experiences, and the power of our product.

Case Study Development

Developing the User Journey

I developed the User Journey for our initial project proposal that followed the user from recognizing they were hungry to deciding to get food through to receiving their food in the drive-thru.

I noted every touchpoint - from digital to physical - in the ordering process to better understand the customer, as well as identify the opportunities for transformation.

Design Operations Visualization

After our team further developed our design automation operations, I designed a “doodle” video (Inspired by the Spotify Engineering Culture Videos) that walked our audience through our operational life-cycle.
